“Team City” playing high to raise funds for charity

Bookmark and Share Submitted on the 4th of April, 2011
Nottingham, UK 04 April 2011: A team of eight staff from Manchester City Football Club, including a coach, a kitman, a secretary and a masseur will be carrying two goals to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro for a game of 4 a-side football on the top of the tallest mountain in African at 5895 metres. During their climb they will also be wearing full Manchester City strips – shinpads included - with probably a few layers underneath for added warmth.

The football match will be filmed “Match of the Day” stayle and will be available for pay per view entertainment on the website, and then shown at half time at the first Manchester City football game of the season.

Team City hope to raise much needed funds for several club charities including St Anne’s Hospice, Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, Children’s Adventure Farm Trust, Guide Dogs for the Blind and the clubs community scheme, CITC.
